Vaquera Sobre La Luna

Welcome to Vaquera Sobre La Luna guest house which translates to “Cowgirl Over the Moon” and we hope this will become a favorite destination of yours going forward. Our Texas Hill Country guest house is truly one of a kind, totally remodeled and decorated personally using re-purposed materials and unique (but lovely) accoutrements throughout, as you will see from our photo gallery. Vaquera is located about 6.5 miles from US Highway 290 on RM 165, about 10 miles from Blanco on RM 165. Either way you will have a lovely, scenic drive.

Our philosophy is and will always be to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Whether you and your party are attending a wedding at one of the more than 30 wedding venues in the area, or touring the many wineries, breweries, and distilleries in the in the area, we will be thrilled to host you! You will always be welcomed at  Vaquera Sobre La Luna guest house.

Vaquera Sobre La Luna can sleep up to 9 people for a two-night minimum, with additional nights discounted.

The guest house has a fully equipped kitchen and guests should feel free to bring food and supplies.

Welcome to Vaquera Sobre La Luna!

Privacy, Trees, Nature

The perfect place to unwind after a day of visiting all the wonderful attractions in the area.

Open Kitchen

Plenty of space and the rustic country atmosphere welcomes you to sit down and relax.

Country Comfort Bedrooms

Tastefully decorated with a “down home” country flair, you’ll find yourself drifting to sleep for a restful night.

Last June, my wife and I traveled to Blanco for the weekend and stayed at Vaquera Sobre La Luna. To say that it was fantastic is a gross understatement. It is spacious, well laid out and just beautifully appointed. The kitchen is comfortable and very practical and the bedrooms provide relaxing privacy. It feels less like a B & B and very much more like you’re staying in your own second home. No detail is omitted and your hosts, Becky and Dr. Karl will quite quickly become friends who feel more like family. Vaquera Sobre La Luna is our new favorite place to stay in the Texas Hill Country. I’m absolutely convinced it will be yours as well.
